Please read these terms carefully before using our services

1. Services

Platinum Parking Solutions provides valet parking services at King Shaka International Airport (Durban) and Durban Port for cruise passengers.

Our service includes vehicle collection at the designated meeting point, secure storage in our monitored facility, a complimentary exterior wash and interior vacuum, and return of your vehicle upon your arrival back.

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays. Service availability is subject to advance booking and driver availability.

2. Bookings

All bookings must be made in advance via our website, WhatsApp, or phone. We recommend booking at least 24 hours prior to departure to guarantee driver availability.

Upon booking you will receive a booking reference number. Please keep this reference for your records — you will need it when collecting your vehicle.

Bookings made less than 12 hours prior to drop-off time cannot be guaranteed. An additional fee may apply for urgent bookings. Please contact us to confirm urgent bookings before placing them.

You must provide accurate vehicle details (make, model, colour, registration), flight or cruise information, and valid contact details at the time of booking.

3. Pricing & Payment

Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are based on the number of days your vehicle is in our care. Pricing is cumulative (total for the duration), not a daily rate multiplied by days.

The price displayed at the time of booking is the price you pay. We reserve the right to update pricing, but any changes will not affect existing confirmed bookings.

Payment can be made online via PayFast (card, EFT, or SnapScan), by card at drop-off, or by manual EFT transfer. EFT payments must be made within 24 hours of booking and must use your booking reference as the payment reference.

If your stay extends beyond the original booking period, additional charges will apply at the applicable daily rate for the extra days.

4. Vehicle Drop-off & Collection

Drop-off location for airport parking: Domestic Departures, Upper Level, Drop-off Zone 4 (Staff Departures), King Shaka International Airport.

Drop-off location for cruise parking: Designated meeting point near Durban Port cruise terminal. Exact coordinates are provided with your booking confirmation.

You must meet our driver at the agreed time and location. If you are running late, please contact us immediately via phone or WhatsApp so we can adjust.

Upon drop-off, our driver will complete a vehicle inspection and issue a job card and collection slip. Please retain your collection slip — you will need it to collect your vehicle.

Upon return, contact us at least 30 minutes before landing or arriving at port. Your vehicle will be returned to the same drop-off location, washed and vacuumed.

5. Amendments & Cancellations

We understand that travel plans can change. Please notify us as soon as possible of any changes to your booking.

Amendments to dates, times, or flight details are accommodated where possible, subject to driver availability. Only airline-initiated changes and genuine emergencies will be accepted as amendment reasons.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled drop-off will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before drop-off may be subject to a cancellation fee.

No-shows (failure to arrive at the agreed time and location without prior notice) will not be refunded.

6. Vehicle Security & Liability

Your vehicle is stored in our secure facility equipped with electric perimeter fencing, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, and Jordans Security armed response.

We carry comprehensive insurance to cover your vehicle while it is in our care. This covers accidental damage and theft from our facility.

We are not liable for: pre-existing damage to your vehicle, loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle, mechanical or electrical faults that develop during storage, or damage caused by acts of nature (hail, flooding, etc.).

We strongly recommend that you remove all valuables from your vehicle before drop-off. Platinum Parking Solutions accepts no responsibility for personal items left in vehicles.

Any existing damage to your vehicle will be recorded on the job card during the inspection at drop-off. Both parties must agree on the vehicle condition before handover.

7. Vehicle Care

All bookings include a complimentary exterior wash and interior vacuum. This is a standard service wash, not a full valet or detail.

If your vehicle requires additional care or has specific requirements (e.g., no water wash, specialty coating), please inform us at the time of booking.

We reserve the right to decline washing a vehicle if it poses a risk to our staff or equipment.

8. Customer Responsibilities

You must ensure that your vehicle is roadworthy and legally compliant (valid licence disc, insurance, etc.).

You must provide accurate flight or cruise details so we can monitor your travel status and ensure timely vehicle return.

You are responsible for all traffic fines, toll fees, or other penalties incurred before or after your vehicle is in our care.

You must inform us of any known mechanical issues with your vehicle before drop-off.

9. Privacy

We collect personal information (name, phone number, email, vehicle details) solely for the purpose of providing our parking service and communicating with you about your booking.

We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties, except where required by law or necessary to provide the service (e.g., payment processing via PayFast).

Payment processing is handled by PayFast, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We do not store your card details.

10. Disputes

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us at book@platinumparking.co.za or call 061 679 9582. We will endeavour to resolve any issues within 48 hours.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of KwaZulu-Natal.

By booking with Platinum Parking Solutions, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
